South Korean actor Park Min Jae has tragically passed away at the young age of 32. The rising star's untimely death has left the K-drama community and his fans in deep mourning.
On December 2, Park Min Jae’s talent agency, Big Title, along with various K-media outlets, confirmed the devastating news. In a statement shared on social media, Big Title expressed their sorrow: “Park Min Jae, a talented actor who loved acting and always gave his best, has departed for heaven.” They continued, “We are deeply grateful for all the love and support you've shown Park Min Jae. Although we can no longer see him perform, we will proudly remember him as an actor of Big Title. May he rest in peace.”
The actor reportedly passed away from cardiac arrest on November 29 while he was in China. His sudden demise has left many in disbelief, as Park Min Jae was known for his vibrant energy and passion for his craft.
A wake to honour the late actor will be held in Room 9 of the Seoul National University Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral is scheduled for December 4 at 9:30 am (local time). As of now, the location for his burial has not been confirmed.
Heartfelt messages and tributes have poured in from friends, family, and colleagues. Park Min Jae’s younger brother shared a message on social media, “My beloved brother has gone to rest. I hope as many people as possible can remember my brother. Please understand that I cannot contact everyone individually.”

Hwang Ju Hye, the CEO of Big Title, also expressed his grief online: “The guy who said he would conquer China and go on a month-long trip has gone on a much longer journey. It was so sudden and so shocking... The family must be feeling unimaginable sorrow... Min Jae, there’s still so much we wanted to say and do together. I was grateful to have been your representative, even if only for a short time, and I’m deeply sorry. I will never forget the name, Actor Park Min Jae.”
At the time of his death, Park Min Jae was managed by Big Title, which also represents other rising talents such as Jeong Young Ju from the cast of Lovely Runner. Park Min Jae had a growing following on Instagram, with 2,005 followers, indicating his journey toward mainstream fame was well underway.
Despite his brief career, Park Min Jae made significant contributions to several notable K-dramas, including Tomorrow, Little Women, Call It Love, The Korea-Khitan War, Mr. LEE, and Bo-ra! Deborah.
