Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy Param Sundari opened to a decent start at the box office following its release on August 29, and gradually gained momentum over its first weekend.
The movie made Rs 10.25 crore on Sunday, its third day in theatres, according to early estimates from a trade tracking website.
The Maddock Films production made Rs 7.25 crore on its first day at the domestic box office, which was the fifth-highest opening in Sidharth Malhotra's career. The film made Rs 9.25 crore on the second day, a strong 27.59% increase in earnings.
It continued its upward trajectory on day three, adding an extra Rs 10.25 crore, making the film's first weekend total an incredible Rs 26.75 crore.
On Sunday, August 31, 2025, Param Sundari's overall Hindi occupancy rate was 20.71%. The movie's Day 3 showing in 2D theatres showed a consistent increase over the course of the day, starting at 10.56% in the morning shows, rising to 24.17% in the afternoon, reaching a peak of 29.71% in the evening shows, and ultimately levelling off at at 18.39% for the night screenings.
Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor play the main roles in Param Sundari, which was directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner. Manjot Singh, Sanjay Kapoor, Renji Panicker, Innayat Verma, and Tanvi Ram round out the ensemble cast.
The story of the movie centres on Param, a young Delhi-based North Indian boy who uses an AI-powered app to search for his soul mate. When he meets Sundari, a South Indian girl from Kerala, his search takes an unexpected turn, and it begins a sweet and funny journey of love and exploration.
