Liam Hemsworth is all set to replace Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia in the highly anticipated The Witcher Season 4. Netflix has confirmed The Witcher Season 4 release date, bringing back one of the most popular fantasy series on the service.
All eight episodes of The Witcher Season 4 will be released worldwide on October 30, 2025.
Fans can now stream the entire The Witcher Season 4 on Netflix. All 8 episodes dropped at once, unlike the previous season.
The season is the shortest Witcher season to date, with a total duration of 427 minutes. In contrast, Season 1 lasted 478 minutes, Season 2 458 minutes, and Season 3 451 minutes.
The latest instalment in the fantasy series will carry on the story as Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri encounter new difficulties throughout the Continent.
After Henry Cavill's exit, Liam Hemsworth will play Geralt of Rivia in the fourth season. Following the events of Season 3, where Geralt suffered serious injuries following his battle with the mage Vilgefortz, who was collaborating with Nilfgaard, Season 4 begins. With Jaskier and Milva's assistance, Geralt now intends to locate and save Ciri.
The real Ciri, meanwhile, travels alone and joins a gang of bandits known as The Rats. The Rats: A Witcher's Tale, a feature-length special that will expand the series universe, will follow this plotline.
The official synopsis of The Witcher Season 4 reads, “After the Continent-altering events of Season 3, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri find themselves separated by a raging war and countless enemies. As their paths diverge and their goals sharpen, they encounter unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they might reunite for good.”
However, The Witcher Season 5 has already been filmed and is anticipated to premiere in 2026.
