Actress Pooja Bhamrrah recently starred in Kohrra 2 and has impressed the audience with her stellar performance in the gripping series. However, fans might recognise Pooja from her debut series, Broken But Beautiful.

In an exclusive interview with Moneycontrol, Pooja looked back at her journey and called Broken But Beautiful a turning point in her career.

She spoke about the early days of her career and how she is still connected with her co-stars, including Vikrant Massey.

The actress says Broken But Beautiful struck a chord with the young audiences

“It brings back a lot of memories. That was my very first web series. Naya-naya, kaise kar, kya ho raha hai yaha pe. And of course, with all of us, we were all almost at the same level of beginning. It is so special. And that show itself is so special that even today, I get recognised like, ‘You're Porno, right? You're from Broken But Beautiful,” she said.

Honestly, when I was doing that, when I was shooting for it, I don't think anybody would have realised the extent to which it will gain popularity. Kudos to Sarita Tangar and Ekta Kapoor to really back this up.

And the first two seasons were a lot of fun. Well, the cast changed in the third. It'll always remain extremely special.

‘We're still in touch. Some of our co-actors, we're still in touch, and we meet. We relive those days. Ki kitne paagal the aur kitna maza aaya tha. That was a great show. Third season didn't get so much love as the first two did. And of course, Vikrant Massey. Vikrant Massey was Vikrant Massey even then. He was already a big name,” she added.

However, Pooja previously talked to Moneycontrol and shared her experience of working with Barun Sobti and Mona Singh as well as  Rannvijay Singha in Kohrra sequel.

The actress added that she only had brief interactions with Barun Sobti and Mona Singh in between shots, even though she didn't have scenes with them because her character was already dead when they showed up. She recalled how surprised they were to see her wearing full prosthetics and hailed both performers amazing, adding that Mona is still winning and Barun really changed into his character, Amarpal Garundi.

She also talked about sharing screen with Rannvijay Singha, especially after growing up watching Roadies and later playing his wife on screen. She described working alongside him as an unreal experience. She praised Rannvijay as a great gentleman and a deeply dedicated actor, but pointed out that their strong conflict scene was emotionally taxing. She also regarded their look test and wedding picture shoot as enjoyable.
