Oscar-shortlisted short film Anuja, directed by Adam J Graves, will soon be available for streaming on Netflix. The live-action film has received significant backing from Priyanka Chopra, Mindy Kaling, and Academy Award winner Guneet Monga. The film’s producer, Suchitra Mattai, is also the wife of director Adam J Graves. Anuja has been shortlisted for the Best Live Action Short Film category at the 97th Academy Awards.

The film tells the heartwarming and inspiring story of two sisters, Anuja and Palak, who face hardships in a world that seems determined to exploit and exclude them.

The narrative focuses on 9-year-old Anuja, who works in a garment factory with her older sister. The film follows Anuja as she faces a difficult decision that will change both her life and the lives of those around her. Adam J Graves has called the film a tribute to the resilience of working children and their untold stories.

Priyanka Chopra, who has supported the film, reacted to the exciting news of its release on Netflix by sharing a post on Instagram. She expressed her pride in the project, writing, “Proud of this beautiful film ️.” Priyanka’s support adds to the growing excitement surrounding the film, which is already gaining recognition for its important message.

Guneet Monga, one of the film’s backers, shared her thoughts on Anuja’s release on Netflix.
