Nayanthara's husband Vignesh Shivan cheers her up amidst the legal battle with Dhanush; says, 'smile and keep moving'

Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan recently shared an endearing video compilation on Instagram, showcasing cherished moments with his wife, actress Nayanthara. The heartfelt post comes amidst their ongoing legal battle with actor Dhanush.

In his post, Vignesh wrote, "Whatever happens …. Jus smile and keep moving sirichuttuuuu poyittaeeee iruppommm."

The timing of this gesture is notable as it coincides with the couple’s legal disputes with Dhanush. On November 16, Nayanthara publicly criticised Dhanush for refusing to grant a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to use elements from their 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. In her open letter, Nayanthara expressed her disappointment, stating, “This is an all-time low from you and speaks so much about your character. I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front of your innocent fans but clearly, you do not practice what you preach, at least not for me and my partner.”

Nayanthara had requested Dhanush's permission to use visuals from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, but he denied the request and instead issued a legal notice demanding Rs 10 crore in damages. In response, Dhanush filed a civil suit in the Madras High Court against Nayanthara, Vignesh Shivan, and Netflix for the unauthorised use of footage from the film in the documentary.
