Naga Chaitanya gets engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala, see first pics

Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya got engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala today (August 8). Veteran actor and Naga's father Nagarjuna released the pictures after the engagement ceremony.

Naga and Sobhita got engaged today, on August 8, at the former's residence in Hyderabad. The ceremony took place in the presence of the couple's families and friends.

Naga Chaitanya was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Their divorce came through on 2nd October 2021.

Naga's father and veteran actor Nagarjuna released two pics of the couple. In one the pics, Nagarjuna is seen with the soon to marry couple.

The trio are all smiles as they pose for the cameras. Sobhita kept her look simple in a traditional peach colour saree, while Naga was seen in silk kurta with a stole.

Sobhita, who has worked in shows like Made In Heaven, tied her hair in a plait with orange gajra. She wore simple golden jewellery.

Sharing the images, Nagarjuna wrote: ""We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.!!
We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family.
Congratulations to the happy couple!

Naga and Sobhita have never spoken about their relationship in public but the two were often spotted holidaying together.

Both Naga and Sobhita were dressed in Manish Malhotra outfits.

How they met

The newly engaged couple met a few months after Naga's divorce with Samantha.

Around May, Naga and Sobhita were first spotted together in Hyderabad, Naga's hometown where Sobhita was promoting her film, Major.

Reports suggested that the actress who was in the city for film promotions, celebrated her birthday along with Naga and some friends. That's when they clicked, their friendship got thicker and they started dating each other.

The couple has been dating eversince. Infact, they have been spotted abroad as well, spending quality time with each other in the company of their friends.

Earlier marriage to Samantha Ruth Prabhu 

Chaitanya was earlier married to actress Samantha, whom he met in 2009 on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave. The actors tied the knot in 2017 but parted ways in 2021.

Professional life 

Talking about their professional lives, Sobhita was last seen in Monkey Man and is known for her appearance as Tara in Made in Heaven. She will be next seen in Sitara.

Meanwhile, Chaitanya is working with Thandel, directed by Chandoo Mondeti Thandel. The film also stars Sai Pallavi.
