The Met Gala: A closer look at co-chair Jennifer lopez's look

Legendary pop singer Jennifer Lopez graced the Met Gala red carpet wearing a sheer and bedazzled Schiaparelli dress.

The ‘If You Had My Love’ singer tied her hair up in a tight bun and went on the light side for her makeup, with it being barely visible and only her gorgeous face doing most of the job.

JLo’s body looked incredible in that dress which, according to her, took 8 hours to make. She also added that the dress has 2 and a half million crystal beads. That’s a huge amount. Schiaparelli really knows how to style their clients because all Lopez needs other than the dress is one bejewelled necklace and a bracelet. The look comes together so perfectly. Her tanned skin under the shimmery dress is looking like the perfect contrast.

It has four butterfly wings and she looks like she’s about to gracefully flutter her arms and glide off the stairs any minute. She spoke about the butterflies saying it’s perfect for ‘Sleeping Beauties’ because a butterfly “sleeps and then wakes up”. We love a humorous pop star.

Actor La La Anthony, a host for this year’s Met Gala, spoke to Jennifer Lopez and gave us a Met Gala trivia fact. She told us that Lopez has attended the Met Gala 14 times to which JLo jokingly replied, “It is my turn to retire now.”

Anthony also asked if being a co-chair is super intense and stressful to which the ‘On The Floor’ singer said that it is actually pretty cool,  “You get invited for a dinner the night before and then you get to do announcements. It’s quite the honour.”

She added that the Met Gala is the one night in the year when artists from every domain come together under one roof and just have fun.
