Singer Neha Kakkar has left her fans stunned with her latest social media announcement. Neha announced that she will be taking a break from her “responsibilities, relationships, and work.”
Neha Kakkar took to her Instagram Story and wrote, “Time to take a break from Responsibilities, Relationships, Work and Everything I can think of right now. Not sure if I’ll be back or not. Thank you."
Neha, who is well-known for her presence on social media and on stage, did not go into detail about what led to her making the decision.
After making her first post, Neha released another message about her privacy, especially requesting that fans and paparazzi not film or take pictures of her during this time.
The singer directly addressed the public and the media regarding her need for personal space and penned in another post, “And I request Paparazzi and Fans to Not to film me at all. I hope you respect my privacy and let me live freely in this world. No Cameras Plz I request! This is the least you all can give me for my peace.”
Interestingly, Neha Kakkar deleted her social media post just a few minutes after posting it, leaving fans confused and concerned. Her post instantly went viral on social media, with several fans expressing their shock over the singer’s latest move.
This comes after Neha released her latest song, Candy Shop (also known by its hook, Lollipop) on December 15, 2025. Neha and her brother Tony Kakkar received a huge backlash on social media over the song.
The song's "cringe" choreography drew criticism from social media users, who also accused the duo of failing to emulate worldwide K-pop aesthetics. The diva, who has frequently shown her heart on her sleeve, may have been under a great deal of mental strain as a result of the forced style and images, which became the focus of countless memes.
