Jay-Z accused of raping a 13-year-old with Sean Diddy Combs in 2000, former issues statement

Rapper Jay Z, who is the husband of music icon Beyonce, has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean 'Diddy' Combs in 2000. The woman has alleged that the assault happened at the after-party of MTV Video Music Awards in 2000.

Rappers Jay-Z and Sean 'Diddy' Combs have been named by the victim in a civil lawsuit for sexually assaulting and raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000.

According to a report in NBC, the lawsuit was first filed in October this year in New York with Sean 'Diddy' Combs as the defendant.

Now the civil lawsuit has been refiled on Sunday (December 8) with Jay Z's original name Shawn Carter included in it.

Jay-Z has issued a statement and called the allegations 'heinous', it is on Roc Nations's X page.

The victim , who is identified as Jane Doe, filed the lawsuit through her counsel, Tony Buzbee. The lawsuit explained the details of the incident.

Doe, in her lawsuit, further claimed that she was made to sign a document, which she believed was a non-disclosure agreement to enter the party.

Doe in her statement also claims that the house she arrived at was full of celebrities consuming marijuana and cocaine.

She recalled that she felt 'woozy and light-headed' after being offered a drink. As she lied down in a room to rest, Doe alleged that Sean Diddy Combs and Jay Z took turns to rape her and that the incident was witnessed a female friend of theirs.

Jay-Z, in his statement, wrote, "These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? (sic)."

The statement further read that his family was heartbroken with such baseless allegations. "My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit," read the statement.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs' representatives issued a fresh statement and called the lawsuit a 'shameless publicity stunt'.

"As his legal team has said before, Mr Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone - man or woman, adult or minor," read the statement.

Over the past few months, Sean Diddy Combs has been facing multiple lawsuits accusing him of rape, sex trafficking and racketeering.

Jay-Z is married to Beyonce, and they are parents to three children - 12-year-old Blue Ivy Carter and seven-year-old twin children, Rumi and Sir.
