Jin, the eldest member of BTS, has swiftly resumed his tennis training following his discharge from mandatory military service. The K-pop star's coach recently shared an Instagram story, indicating that Jin is back on the tennis courts, eager to continue his lessons.
On June 20, 2024, Jin’s tennis coach posted an Instagram story that caught fans' eyes. The image showed a small cake with a lit candle and the caption, “Congratulations on your discharge.” While the coach didn't explicitly mention Jin, fans quickly connected the dots, given his recent return from military duty. They also spotted Jin’s distinctive tennis bag, a familiar accessory during his lessons.
Further solidifying the news, the coach shared another picture of the tennis court with the caption, “Celebrate the comeback.” This strongly suggests that Jin has indeed returned to his tennis practice.
Jin has been dedicated to tennis for several years, showcasing a passion for the sport. His training was temporarily paused due to his enlistment in the South Korean military in 2023. Now, with his service completed, Jin is back on the court, resuming his athletic pursuits.
Jin debuted with BTS in 2013, alongside members RM, J-Hope, Suga, V, Jungkook, and Jimin. As the main vocalist, he quickly gained international acclaim for his vocal abilities. Jin has also launched a successful solo career, releasing the single The Astronaut in 2022.
After completing his military service on June 12, 2024, Jin made a public appearance on June 13 at Jamsil Arena as part of FESTA 2024, celebrating BTS's 11th anniversary. During this event, Jin personally addressed his fans and participated in a special 'hugging' event, meeting with 1000 ARMYs.
