Billie Eilish is finally returning to the music scene on May 17 with the release of her third studio album called, ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’. Her album is only a few weeks away and the fans are beyond excited.

The Grammy winner has had an amazing last year with her song, ‘What Was I Made For?’ topping the charts and also earning her another Oscar and Grammy. The singer now has 2 Oscars and 9 Grammys. She is also the youngest awardee for an Album of the Year Grammy.

The ‘Bad Guy’ singer’s last album, ‘Happier Than Ever’, was a massive success. According to Forbes, the album debuted on top of the Billboard 200 and sold 153,000 copies as well as garnered almost 114 million streams.

Eilish recently did an interview with the Rolling Stone magazine wherein Eilish and her brother, Finneas, called her third album “an album ass album”. He revealed that they took inspiration from Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die, Tyler, the Creator’s Goblin, etc.

Billie also revealed that the title for the album stemmed from a conversation with Finneas, when she mistakenly thought that Logic Pro had a synth by the name of  ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’.

“I thought it was such a perfect encapsulation of what this album does,” she explained.

Eilish also spoke about why she isn’t releasing any singles from her album, “Every single time an artist I love puts out a single without the context of the album, I’m just already prone to hating on it. I really don’t like when things are out of context. This album is like a family: I don’t want one little kid to be in the middle of the room alone.”

She also revealed that she got back into dancing which used to be her main creative outlet. She stopped dancing when she was 13 years old because of a growth plate injury in her hip.

The singer recently joined Lana Del Rey on the Coachella stage. The pair sung a beautiful rendition of Eilish's debut song, 'Ocean Eyes'.
