With over 12,000 songs to her credit in multiple languages, Asha Bhosle is rightly referred to as the epitome of timeless melodies. Morya Entertainment, a Mumbai-based event management company, is now set to showcase "ASHA@90: Woh Phir Nahi Aate”. This musical extravaganza will mark the legendary vocalist’s eight decades long career. The event, presented by HSBC, will take place at the Jio World Garden BKC, Mumbai, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, starting at 7:00 PM.
The special concert will showcase Asha Bhosle's classics, Bollywood chartbusters, soulful ghazals, and evergreen melodies. Of course, Bhosle's distinctive voice has left an indelible mark on music history and become a key part of the fabric of Indian movies. From old Bollywood songs like Dum Maro Dum (Hare Krishna Hare Ram) to Raat Baaki Baat Baaki (Namak Halaal) and Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil ko (Yaadon Ki Baaraat) to newer movie songs like Yeh Raat aur Yeh Doori (Andaz Apna Apna) and Zaraa sa Jhoom Lu Main (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge) - some of Bollywood's most iconic songs are in Bhosle's voice.
Bhosle's non-film music from the 1980s and '90s also has a large following. Case in point: Her 1987 album Dil Padosi Hai, with Gulzar's lyrics and music by RD Burman. Bhosle also collaborated with international artists like Boy George and R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe.

Speaking at an event to announce the mega concert in Mumbai, Asha Bhosle had said, “Main jab das saal ki thi tab se gaa rahi hoon. (I have been singing since I was just ten years old.)”
Along with Asha Bhosle, singer Sudesh Bhosle will also sing a few numbers. The concert will also witness a special performance of classical dance by Zanai Bhosle, the granddaughter of the living legend Asha Bhosle.
Vishal Gargote, event organizer and founder of Morya Entertainment, said, “I can hardly contain my excitement as we eagerly await Asha ji's mesmerizing concert in Jio World Garden, BKC, Mumbai.
