Actress Mrunal Thakur has taken a nostalgic trip down memory lane, sharing a carousel of behind-the-scenes images and videos from her much-loved Telugu debut film, Sita Ramam. The posts offer fans a rare glimpse into the making of the 2022 romantic period drama, which recently marked its third anniversary.
In the first image, Mrunal is seen dressed as her character, Sita Mahalakshmi, donning a stunning red saree with intricate golden jewellery, while her makeup artist puts on the finishing touches. Another clip shows her preparing for an elegant dance sequence, her movements both graceful and precise.
Several other videos capture candid moments on set, including one where she’s seen rehearsing choreography and another with co-star Dulquer Salmaan, featuring a scene where Mrunal runs away, suggesting a pivotal dramatic moment.

On 5th August, when Sita Ramam completed three years, Mrunal had shared a heartfelt note expressing her deep connection to the role.
Posting the film’s poster on her Instagram story, she wrote, "It’s been 3 years, and Sita still lives on in your hearts, your words, your memories. She was never just a character. She was a promise. A feeling. A forever.”
She also extended her appreciation to the team behind the film, saying, “@dqsalmaan, @hanurpudi, and every soul behind this film, thank you for building this world with so much truth. And to you, the audience, thank you for keeping her alive. Love, Sita.”

Set in 1964 against the backdrop of war, Sita Ramam tells the poignant love story of Lieutenant Ram and Sita Mahalakshmi through letters and longing. Mrunal’s performance won critical acclaim, earning her the Best Debutante Award and solidifying her place in South Indian cinema.
After her recent role in Son Of Sardaar 2, Mrunal will next appear in David Dhawan’s romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, alongside Varun Dhawan and a star-studded ensemble. The film, shot in Scotland, is set to release in October 2025.
