Varun Dhawan and Sonu Nigam groove to ‘Bijuria’ ahead of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari release

Sonu Nigam and Varun Dhawan dance to Bijuria

It was a blast from the past when Varun Dhawan teamed up with legendary singer Sonu Nigam for a special reel that has taken Instagram by storm.

The two grooved to the much-loved track “Bijuria”, which has now been revamped for the upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Their reel, full of energy, nostalgia, and some seriously smooth moves, has got fans grinning from ear to ear.

Varun posted the video on Instagram with a caption that tugged at the heartstrings: “Mera bachpan ka gaana. From dancing in my school to my brother’s wedding on this song. This is my jam. Song out on 3rd Sept.” Clearly, this one’s personal for him — and fans felt it too.

The comments section quickly lit up. “I’m sorry VD, but Sonu Sir stole the show here!” wrote one fan, while another warned playfully, “OG performer @sonunigamofficial @varundv legacy kharab mat karna varun sir.”

Others simply let the nostalgia wash over them: “Legend is a legend, it was his first album and how beautiful those days were,” one comment read. And of course, there was love for the legend himself: “Sonuji… dil khush kar diya.”

The full version of the revamped “Bijuria” is set to drop on 3rd September, and this sneak peek has only added to the buzz.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is produced by Dharma Productions and brings together Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor once again, this time for a romantic comedy with a colourful, feel-good vibe.

Dubbed as part of the Dulhania universe, the film’s teaser promised a quirky plot involving “four people, two heartbreakers, one wedding”. In other words — drama, laughter, love, and lots of chaos.

Joining the lead pair is a stellar cast including Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi. On the music front, Pritam, Tanishk Bagchi, and Amitabh Bhattacharya have come together to give us a memorable soundtrack — and bringing “Bijuria” back is just the start.

Releasing in cinemas on 2nd October 2025, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is shaping up to be a festive season crowd-puller filled with fun, colour, and heart.
