Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur have been in the news lately amid ongoing reports of them being a couple. Adding to the buzz, a recent interview featuring Mrunal is now doing the rounds online, where she candidly shared her thoughts on the concept of the 'buri nazar' (evil eye).
Speaking with Instant Bollywood, the actress opened up about how people should be cautious when speaking about themselves.
She emphasised the value of mindfulness and self-awareness in conversation, emphasising that one should pause before sharing too much. Additionally, Mrunal confirmed her belief in the evil eye, stating that since words carry energy, not everything should be said out loud.
She stated, "There are a lot of things I still need to do with my career, a lot of boxes I haven't checked. But I will talk about those things once I do them, because I don't want to jinx it by talking about them. I believe the whole nazar thing, 'bahut nazar lagti hai' (evil eye jinxes things)."
Mrunal expressed that they have a distinctly different personality compared to others, noting that while some people openly discuss their upcoming projects or the number of releases scheduled for the next year, they personally prefer not to.
They believe that people are already aware of what's on the way and what isn’t, and they don’t enjoy constantly thinking or talking about what’s happening in their own life.
"Boundaries. One should think before speaking about oneself. You should control how much you are telling the world. Sometimes we end up saying the things we want to do or are doing currently, and we jinx it ourselves," she further said.
According to Mrunal Thakur, they stand out due to their personality, which involves keeping their professional obligations under wraps. While a lot of people freely discuss their next films or the quantity of releases they have planned, Mrunal doesn't.
