Actress Mrunal Thakur is venturing into the action genre with Dacoit, a gripping and intense action drama. She will be paired with the talented Adivi Sesh in this high-octane film, which marks the directorial debut of Shaneil Deo.

The movie will be shot simultaneously in both Hindi and Telugu languages, adding a broader appeal. With her foray into action, Mrunal is set to showcase her versatility and take on a challenging role, promising audiences a thrilling cinematic experience.

The film follows the journey of an angry convict, who meticulously plots revenge against his former girlfriend after being betrayed by her. With a gripping narrative and high-octane action sequences, Dacoit is poised to showcase a never-before-seen side of Mrunal, as she embraces a powerful and intense role.

Speaking of the film, Mrunal said, "The story of Dacoit is true in it’s essence, a great mixture of rustic storytelling that is elevated with the stylised vision of both Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. The character I’m set to depict in the films will allow me to explore shades of playing an on screen character that I haven’t explored before as an actor. Produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Suniel Narang, Dacoit brings together a stellar creative team. Shaneil Deo, known for his collaboration with Adivi Sesh on several successful projects, is not only directing the film but also co-developed the story and screenplay alongside Adivi Sesh.

Currently, the shoot has begun and is underway in Hyderabad, with an extensive schedule being planned in the months to come in Maharashtra.
