Rajnikanth is back in action with a new film titled Coolie - Thalaivar 171 directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

The first teaser dropped just a few minutes ago and it looks like a super exciting and action packed film.

The interesting part about this teaser is that everything is black and white other than the gold. The gold is shining.

It looks like a very entertaining block buster is on the way with the collaboration of two industry titans.

Fans of the king of south indian films are raving over the teaser trailer. This will truly be one of the greatest comebacks ever.

Thalaivar 171 has a brilliant cast including big names like Ranveer Singh, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kamal Haasan.

The title 'Coolie' is a callback for Rajnikanth's past works. The actor played a coolie in Uzhaipaali (1993), Mannan (1992), Mallum Malarum (1989), and many other films.

Throughout the teaser, Rajnikanth is heard singing a song which was featured in his previous movie with Kamal Haasan called Ninaithale Inikkum (1979). The song is about a hedonistic lifestyle.

Anirudh Ravichander is set to tear the silver screen up again with this film too.

Not much is yet known about the film so there are rumours flying everywhere. People are speculating that Shruti Haasan will be playing Rajnikanth's daughter in the movie. Even superstar Shah Rukh Khan might have a cameo in the film. Although, nothing is confirmed yet.

Several theories of 'Thalaivar 171' being inspired by the Hollywood movie, 'The Purge', have also been circulating on social media.

Sun Pictures, Rajnikanth and Lokesh Kanagraj are gearing up for an awesome release in 2025.
