Popular Bhojpuri cinema actress Amrita Pandey, also known as Annapurna, was found dead in her apartment in Bhagalpur, Bihar. Her untimely demise on April 27 has sent shockwaves through the industry and her fan base. She was aged 27.

Before her death, a cryptic message was discovered by Police on her WhatsApp status, which read, "Do naav me savaar thi uski zindagi, humne apni naav duba ke uska safar aasaan kar diya," translating to "His/her life was on two boats, we made his/her path easier by sinking our boat." This note has piqued considerable intrigue and led to speculations about her mental state and personal struggles.

Amrita, who married Chandramani Jhangad, a Bilaspur resident, in 2022, lived in Mumbai and had returned to Bhagalpur for her sister's wedding. Following the wedding, while her husband returned to Mumbai, Amrita chose to stay back. Reports suggest that her family noticed signs of depression in the preceding months, adding a layer of complexity to her passing.

Professionally, Amrita Pandey had collaborated with Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav in the movie 'Deewanapan,' and her performance had been warmly received.
