Mammootty has worked in over 400 films. 'Adiyozhukkukal', 'Mathilukal', 'Aavanazhi', 'Valsalyam', 'Ponthan Mada', and 'The King' are some of his best movies till date among many.

Malayalam superstar Mammootty, whose recent release 'Turbo' is doing well at the box office, got candid about whether he wants to quit acting and take a back seat.

In an interview with UAE based Youtuber Khalid Al Ameri, Mammootty said quitting ‘will be his last breath’. He also said that he does not expect people to remember him once he is gone.

Mammootty said: ‘I am one among thousands.'

Mammootty has been in the film industry since decades and there is no stopping for him.

His interview's snippet is being circulated on X (formerly Twitter) and there Mammootty says that he wants to continue working and that he doesn't 'feel exhausted' at all. "No. I don’t feel exhausted. It (quitting) will be my last breath," he said in the interview.

When asked how he wants the world to remember him, he said: “But how long will they remember me? One year? Ten years? Fifteen years? Finished. Don’t expect people to remember you till the end of the world. That won’t happen to anybody. Great people are remembered very, very, very less. Only very few people are remembered. I am one among thousands of actors. How can they remember me for more than a year? There’s no hope for that. Once you are not in the world, how will you know about you? Everybody thinks that they are going to be remembered till the end of the world. No.”

Superstar Mammootty's recently-released 'Turbo' is performing well at the box office. Turbo, which released on May 23, collected around Rs 6 crore and it became the second-highest Malayalam opener of the year after Prithviraj Sukumaran's Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life.

'Turbo’s' box office report is excellent with very good collections. This movie could have done 100 percent occupancy but in the last one week Kerala is facing heavy rains. Yet, evening shows are getting houseful. Cinemas at this time (during rains) would record 10-15 percent occupancy but now the occupancy is going as high as 50-60 percent. In single screens, the occupancy is reaching 80-90 percent, that is the advantage of this movie (Turbo)," said Reni Varughese, an exhibitor from Kerala who noted that the movie started on a strong note with occupancies tracking high from morning shows.

Mammootty has worked in over 400 films. 'Adiyozhukkukal', 'Mathilukal', 'Aavanazhi', 'Valsalyam', 'Ponthan Mada', and 'The King' are some of his best movies till date among many.

Mammootty has won three National Film Awards for Best Actor. The actor is still unstoppable and wants to continue working. Kudos to him.
