Jennifer Lopez’s recent film ‘Atlas’ just debuted on Netflix. It is a film that stresses on the bad side of Artificial Intelligence.
Lopez told Variety at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Atlas’ that, “I think this movie does a good job of showing how AI could go incredibly wrong, and this is how it could go really right.”
The ‘Let’s Get Loud’ singer got candid about her own problems with AI, especially the exploitation. She spoke about advertisements that are “selling skincare that I know nothing about” using pictures that have been manipulated and morphed that show her face covered in “wrinkles.”
The ‘Hustlers’ actress continued, “It’s really scary. Right away we had them stealing our faces. So, yes, AI is really scary.”
“I think you should be respectful of AI…We have to be open to all possibilities. These movies that are talking about AI — especially this one — do a really good job of showing both sides,” Lopez added.
Jennifer Lopez stars as the title character Atlas Shepherd, she is a data analyst who must use artificial intelligence to save the planet from an evil robot played by ‘Shang Chi’ actor Simu Liu.
‘Black Panther’ actor Sterling K Brown also praised his co-star Jennifer Lopez’s work ethic.
“Moguls be moguling. She was talking earlier today how she has brought down her level of commitments. I would have marvelled to see her at full tilt, because it looked like it was full tilt when we were together. There was always something happening,” he said.
Sterling K Brown also shared a wholesome moment that Lopez and him shared between a take where Lopez and Brown’s characters are beaten badly the villain.
“We had nice little side conversations between takes. I asked her about being a Fly Girl [On ‘In Living Colour’]. She had a few good Rosie Perez stories.”
