As the investigation progressed, authorities seized the Rs 40 lakh in cash and identified Mohan Raj as the lender, shedding light on the financial transactions behind the scenes.

The Kannada film industry has been rocked by a shocking development involving actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and the tragic murder of his fan, Renukaswamy. The investigation has revealed disturbing details of deception and an alleged conspiracy, painting a grim picture of greed and manipulation.

The story began with the brutal killing of Renukaswamy, reportedly due to derogatory comments made on social media about Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda, who is close to Darshan. As investigators dug deeper, they uncovered evidence suggesting Darshan orchestrated a cover-up to avoid being implicated.

According to police sources, Darshan borrowed a substantial sum of Rs 40 lakh from his friend Mohan Raj to finance a plan aimed at removing any evidence linking him to the crime. This money allegedly went towards paying off individuals involved in silencing Renukaswamy and destroying incriminating proof.

Initially, it was disclosed that Darshan had already paid Rs 30 lakh to facilitate Renukaswamy's murder and dispose of his body. Additional funds were allegedly used to persuade others to take responsibility for the crime, diverting attention away from Darshan.

As the investigation progressed, authorities seized the Rs 40 lakh in cash and identified Mohan Raj as the lender, shedding light on the financial transactions behind the scenes. Allegations surfaced that Darshan aimed to manipulate the legal process and shield himself from facing consequences, causing uproar among his fans and the wider community.

Police documents emphasised Darshan's admission of borrowing and using the money to obstruct the investigation, highlighting the seriousness of the accusations against the once-popular actor. Amid public outcry and media scrutiny, a court in Bengaluru extended Darshan's and three other suspects' custody by two days, intensifying the legal battle ahead.

The case now involves a total of 17 people, including Pavithra Gowda and others allegedly connected to Darshan, as the investigation unfolds further.

The intricate details of the case paint a troubling picture of celebrity influence, ambition without boundaries, and the tragic outcomes of misplaced loyalty. Darshan's journey from screen idol to a central figure in a murder probe serves as a stark reminder of the risks associated with fame and the profound repercussions of personal conflicts turning deadly.

As legal proceedings continue and new revelations emerge, the public remains gripped by this unfolding tragedy.
