British TV host calls Priyanka Chopra, ‘Chianca Chop Free’; Fans enraged

In what seems to be a mispronunciation of the Bollywood actress’ name fans are enraged at British TV host Andi Peters for calling Priyanka Chopra as Chianca Chop Free.

In a resurfaced video dating a couple months back, Andi visited the Madame Tussauds in London to film an episode for ‘Good Morning Britain’ talking about the inanimate celebrities in there. When he stood next to the ‘Baywatch’ star, he was asked by another host, about who the person next to him was, and out came the incorrect pronunciation.

During the conversation, Andi fumbled with Priyanka Chopra’s name, humorously mispronouncing it as ‘Chianca Chop Free.’ This prompted Adil to correct him with a hint of frustration, saying, “Honestly, Andi, if you’re going to stand next to someone, at least learn their name. That’s Priyanka Chopra, the Indian Bollywood actress who has become a huge star in America.” Andi then insisted he was aware of who she was, mentioning she was married to “that one from the Jonas Brothers,” according to the Daily Star.

Priyanka’s fans did not like it one bit. One commented, “Okay low budget Dave Chappelle.” Another person wrote, “The question is who the F is he?” And it kept going on with another comment, “I mean obviously what do you expect from those who can’t read and write?”  One miffed fan also wrote, “Someone needs to tell Andy Peters at least Priyanka Chopra has earned her place in Madame Tussaud’s because he hasn’t.”

In terms of Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ upcoming work, the star is set to work alongside Idris Elba and John Cena Ilya Naishuller’s Heads of State for Amazon Prime Video. She finished filming for the movie earlier this month.
