This marks Mohanlal’s seventh consecutive year as the host of Bigg Boss Malayalam since it began in 2018. True to tradition, the opening night was a visual spectacle, featuring energetic performances and dramatic entrances by the contestants. Upon his arrival, Mohanlal gave viewers a first look at the brand-new Bigg Boss house. He led a virtual tour, showcasing the spacious and stylish interiors, including the grand kitchen, elegant dining room, and cosy bedroom that will be home to the contestants for the next three months.

The first to enter the house this season was Aneesh Tharayil, an author and farmer. He was followed by a lawyer-turned-food vlogger, adding an interesting mix of personalities right from the start. The full list of contestants is expected to include 20 or more housemates who will live together under constant surveillance, compete in tasks, and navigate relationships while avoiding elimination.

In a recent promo that caught attention, Mohanlal made it clear that this season would be different. He promised not to tolerate “over-cuteness, over-emotions, or the angry youth.” The teaser set the stage for a more grounded and possibly more disciplined edition of the show.
