Helena Luke, who was the first wife of famous actor Mithun Chakraborty, has passed away in the USA. She died on Sunday, and her friend, dancer and actress Kalpana Iyer, shared the sad news on social media.

Helena was well-known for her role in the 1985 film "Mard," starring Amitabh Bachchan. She was married to Mithun for only four months, and their marriage ended quickly.

In her last Facebook post, Helena wrote about feeling strange and confused. She used the words “mixed emotions” and “discombobulated,” showing that she was dealing with some difficult feelings. In an old interview, Helena described her short marriage with Mithun as a “hazy dream.”

She revealed that she wished it had never happened. She had said that Mithun convinced her he was the right man for her, but later she felt he had misled her.

Helena had a tough time during her marriage. She remembered how Mithun had promised her father that he would treat her wonderfully, calling her the "9th wonder of the world." However, once they were married, she felt very alone. She spoke about Mithun’s possessive nature and how he often accused her of seeing her ex-boyfriend, Javed, behind his back. Despite her efforts to convince him otherwise, he remained suspicious.

In the interview, Helena expressed her frustration with Mithun, saying that he was immature and selfish. She felt much older than him, even though he was years her senior. She talked about how his jealousy made her life difficult and how she eventually realized he had a guilt complex, meaning he was often worried about his own actions and projected those feelings onto her.

After their divorce, Helena mentioned that she had no desire to return to Mithun, even if he became very rich. She described her marriage as a “nightmare” and was clear that it was behind her. She did not ask for alimony, showing her determination to move on with her life.

Sadly, Helena's health had been declining, and reports indicated that she had not been taking her medical treatments on time, which contributed to her passing. This highlights the importance of taking care of one’s health, especially during challenging times.

Helena Luke’s life was filled with ups and downs. She faced challenges not just in her marriage but also in her health. Her story serves as a reminder of how complex relationships can be and how important it is to care for ourselves physically and emotionally.

Despite her short-lived marriage, Helena made a mark in the film industry and is remembered for her talent. Her experiences show the struggles many people face in relationships, particularly when dealing with jealousy and insecurity.

As we remember Helena, we also recognize her courage in speaking about her experiences. She was honest about her feelings and the difficulties she faced, which can resonate with many. It’s a reminder that, even in tough situations, it’s essential to seek help and prioritize our well-being.
