Actress and producer Manasi Parekh, who first gained recognition with the 2004 TV serial Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi, has recently won the National Award for Best Actress for her exceptional performance in the 2023 Gujarati film Kutch Express. This accolade marks a significant milestone in her career, highlighting her versatility and talent as an artist.

In Kutch Express, Manasi Parekh takes on the role of Monghi, a devoted wife and mother in a traditional Kutchi household. Monghi believes her marriage is perfect, but her world shatters when she discovers her husband's extramarital affair with a colleague. The film delves into Monghi's emotional journey as she navigates betrayal and heartbreak, showcasing Manasi's ability to portray deep, complex emotions. The film also features powerhouse performers like Ratna Pathak Shah, Dharmendra Gohil, Darsheel Safary, and Viraf Patel, making it a standout in Gujarati cinema. Manasi not only starred in the film but also co-produced it with Parthiv Gohil, further demonstrating her multifaceted talent in the industry.

Born in Gujarat, Manasi Parekh displayed an artistic flair from a young age. Alongside acting, she is also a talented singer, actively participating in school events and competitions. Her big break came in 2003 when she was one of the eight finalists in Popstars (Season 2), where she competed alongside future star Ayushmann Khurrana. The following year, she made her acting debut in the TV serial Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi, but it was her role in India Calling (2005) that truly brought her into the limelight.

Manasi’s versatility extends beyond acting in TV serials. She won the singing reality show Star Ya Rockstar, showcasing her musical talent to a wider audience. In April 2012, Manasi made her Tamil film debut with the romance Leelai, starring alongside actor Shiv Panditt. She also ventured into Hindi cinema with Yeh Kaisi Life, a film that premiered at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
