Renowned writer and celebrated Malayalam writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair is in critical condition while undergoing treatment at Baby Memorial Hospital in Kozhikode, where he has been receiving care for the past five days.
According to a medical bulletin issued by the hospital, M.T. Vasudevan Nair has been diagnosed with heart failure and is currently receiving intensive medical care. The treatment is focused on improving his cardiac function and stabilizing vital parameters. His condition remains serious, and a specialized medical team is closely monitoring his progress.
As per reports by ONmanorama, a group of expert doctors has placed him under observation in the Intensive Care Unit. The writer was initially admitted to the hospital due to breathing difficulties, which later escalated into heart-related complications, necessitating advanced medical intervention.
The 91-year-old writer’s family, including his wife, daughter, and her family, has gathered at the hospital to be by his side.
Minister A.K. Saseendran, along with writer and critic M.N. Karassery, has also arrived at the hospital to visit their close friend.
