Wedding bells are ringing for Ham Eunjung, the beloved actress and former member of K-pop group T-ara. Her agency has confirmed that she will be tying the knot with film director Kim Byung-woo on 30 November, in a private ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Fans throughout Asia have been thrilled by the news, bringing the Korean music and film industries together in celebration.

Eunjung and Kim reportedly first met at a film industry event, where they bonded over their love of creativity and storytelling, according to MK Sports. What began as a friendship gradually blossomed into love.

A graduate of the Theatre and Film department at Hanyang University, he gained recognition for his audacious and creative approach to filmmaking immediately after directing Anamorphic (2003) and Written (2008).

The 2013 thriller The Terror Live, starring Ha Jung-woo, was a critical and financial success and marked a turning point in his career.

Kim received numerous accolades for the film, including Best New Director at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and Best Director at the Baeksang Arts Awards, for its compelling story and tension in a single location.

His mastery of high-pressure storytelling was further demonstrated when he later worked with Ha Jung-woo once more on the action-packed PMC: The Bunker.

Up next, he’s stepping into the world of sci-fi with The Great Flood, a disaster epic set to premiere on 19 December via streaming.

Eunjung began acting as a child in 1995 and rose to international fame as part of T-ara in 2009, balancing her music career with steady roles in film and television. Over the years, she’s earned a reputation for her hard work, humility, and emotional range.

She’s now set to return to television as the lead in MBC’s upcoming daily drama The First Man, continuing to build a career defined by growth and versatility.
