South Korean actor Kim Hyun-jin is drawing attention with his role in the upcoming romantic drama Love Phobia, where he transforms into Han Sun-ho, a bestselling romance novelist whose idol-level looks and emotional insight captivate audiences.

The drama, produced by WEMAD and helmed by director Wang Hye-ryeong, will premiere on February 19, 2026, airing on U+ Mobile TV and Lifetime.

In Love Phobia, Han Sun-ho is celebrated as a writer whose novels sell out immediately, earning him immense popularity. However, beneath his charismatic exterior lies a deeper struggle with identity and emotion in a world that often prioritises surface appeal over substance.

His journey begins to shift when he crosses paths with Yoon Bi-ah — portrayed by Yeonwoo — the emotionally guarded CEO of an AI-powered dating app called It’s You. Yoon Bi-ah, who initially sees human love as inefficient and draining, becomes intrigued by Sun-ho’s earnest nature and emotional depth.

The dynamic between the introspective novelist and the tech CEO promises a heartfelt exploration of love and connection in an increasingly digital age.

New stills released ahead of the premiere show Kim Hyun-jin exuding the “idol of the novel world” persona — poised and contemplative as he signs books and interacts with his surroundings.

Supporting cast members include Jo Yun-seo as Sun-ho’s confidante and Yoon Bi-ah’s partner, and Choi Byung-chan as Sun-ho’s twin brother, adding layers of emotional nuance and familial depth to the story.

The ensemble’s chemistry was highlighted during early script readings, with cast members showcasing strong synergy under the direction of Wang Hye-ryeong.

Set against the backdrop of a romantic comedy infused with modern technological themes, Love Phobia aims to balance emotional resonance with witty character interactions. Fans are already buzzing with anticipation as the series nears its late-February launch.
