Entertainer Kian84 has opened up about a moment that left a lasting impression on him, praising BTS member Jin for what he described as a rare and deeply genuine sense of loyalty towards fans—one that exists even when there are no cameras around.
On 20 January, Kian84 uploaded a new video titled “Spending a day with Chuu” to his YouTube channel Life 84.
What began as a light-hearted day out with singer Chuu gradually turned into a thoughtful conversation about fan culture, responsibility, and sincerity in the entertainment industry.
At one point, the production team brought up the popular K-pop gesture known as the “biting heart”, teasing Kian84 for being unfamiliar with it.
Chuu laughed and shared her own story, explaining that she had created the gesture naturally out of excitement when she saw fans. At the time, she said, she had no idea how widely it would be noticed because she was not active on social media.
It was only later, after seeing senior celebrities use it often, that she truly understood how meaningful the gesture had become for fans.
The conversation soon drifted to more personal topics. When Chuu asked Kian84 whether he had plans to marry, he replied that he once did, before cheekily turning the question back on her.
Chuu said she views marriage as just one stage of life, which prompted Kian84 to joke that she might be holding back because of how fans would react.
Playing along, Chuu looked straight into the camera and said she would marry as late as possible, jokingly suggesting her 50s or 60s, sending the set into laughter.
That was when Kian84 brought up Jin. He said that only a few celebrities he knows truly take fan loyalty to heart. He recalled how Jin once told him—away from the cameras—that idols should not date or get married, insisting that doing so would betray fans.
Kian84 pointed out that while many celebrities say similar things publicly, their private actions often tell a different story. Jin, however, remained firm even behind the scenes, repeatedly saying it was “absolutely not acceptable.”
Chuu responded with humour, saying she would wait until all her fans were married first. She clarified that while she was joking, her feelings about treating fans sincerely were very real. Hearing this, Kian84 said her words did not sound rehearsed.
He added that Chuu speaks about her fans often and with real affection—something he said he could truly feel.
The conversation offered a rare glimpse into the emotional honesty that exists behind fame, reminding viewers that for some entertainers, the bond with fans is not just part of the job, but something deeply personal.
