BTS member Jin expresses gratitude to ARMY as he celebrates 33rd birthday: "Thanks to ARMY"

BTS member Jin rang in his 33rd birthday on December 4, marking the occasion with a heartfelt message to fans that quickly lit up social media.

Kim Seokjin, fondly known as Jin, took to his official Weverse profile to share a warm note of gratitude for ARMY, reflecting on his journey over the past year and the joy of celebrating this birthday with them.

He penned a long note that read, “Hello, I'm Jin. It's my birthday. Whoo-hoo. I couldn't say thank you on my birthday last year, but I'm so happy to be able to do it this year. A lot of good things happened this year. I released a solo album, had a concert, and all the members came back from the military without a big accident. What a grateful year it's been,” he wrote.

Jin continued with another message of appreciation, “Thanks to you, my birthday is back without much trouble haha. I always say this, but thanks to ARMY, I want to say thank you for working and living a happy life. ARMY, thank you always and I love you. I'll turn on the birthday Live around 2 p.m. in Korean time! I love you. I want to celebrate my own birthday a little faster..”

Jin and J-Hope, the two oldest members of BTS, were the first to finish their required military service; they returned a few months apart in 2024. Naturally, J-Hope posted cute pictures and a heartfelt message honoring his "Worldwide Handsome" hyung on the group's official Instagram account, which used its stories to share birthday wishes.

The caption read, "Happy Birthday to the one and only Worldwide Handsome Jin! We hope you have an amazing day and know just how much your energy and warmth bring us joy. Thank you for your creativity, playfulness, and sincerity. A life, a sparkle in your eyes. Heaven comin’ through,... and we love you #Jin HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIN #HappyJinDay"

Across the globe, ARMYs flooded social media with messages of love and admiration. One fan wrote, "Happy 33rd birthday to the talented JIN. The singer-songwriter and record producer has established himself as a global superstar and a trailblazer in the K-Pop industry through his solo ventures, numerous achievements, and his ongoing contributions to BTS. His debut solo single broke the record for the highest first-day sales for any soloist’s single album in Hanteo history at the time. He was named one of the Top K-Pop Idols of 2025 by Forbes Korea."

Another added, "Happy birthday Jin thank you for all you have done for us ever since you got out of the military, you have brightened up our days. Wishing you many more years. Let's grow old together."

Following his military discharge on June 12, 2024, Jin embarked on his first solo world tour, RunSeokjin Ep. Tour, which became a major success. He also released Echo, his second EP, further solidifying his global popularity and artistic growth.
