Jang Wonyoung, the IVE star has donated 200 million KRW (approximately 138,000 USD) to support the treatment of paediatric and adolescent patients, offering real help to children who need it most.
According to Severance Hospital on February 11 KST, Jang Wonyoung contributed the full amount to assist young patients undergoing treatment.
The donation is more than just a generous sum — it reflects her awareness of the fact that many of her fans are children and teenagers navigating their own challenges.
Known for her bright and optimistic “Lucky Vicky” mindset, Jang Wonyoung reportedly chose to donate in the hope that children and adolescents — many of whom admire her — can receive proper care, recover well and look ahead to the future with strength and positivity. It is a gesture that feels personal, thoughtful and deeply sincere.
The funds have been carefully allocated. Half of the donation, 100 million KRW, will go towards the development fund at Severance Children’s Hospital.
The remaining 100 million KRW will support the paediatric department development fund at Gangnam Severance Hospital. Beyond treatment costs, the money will also help improve the medical environment, ensuring young patients receive better facilities and care.
An official from Yonsei Medical Center expressed gratitude, stating, “We are deeply thankful for this meaningful act of sharing for pediatric and adolescent patients. We will use the donation carefully so it can provide real help for their treatment and recovery.”
