Former NewJeans member Danielle addressed fans publicly for the first time on Monday through a livestream, following her agency Ador’s announcement that her exclusive contract had been terminated.
Speaking candidly during the broadcast, Danielle said she had “fought until the very end” to remain part of the group. Addressing NewJeans’ official fan base, Bunnies, through YouTube and Instagram Live, the singer shared that she had made every possible effort to stay with the members.
Although circumstances have placed her on a different path, Danielle stressed that her feelings toward the group remain unchanged. “I can say one thing very clearly. I fought until the very end to be together with the members,” she said.
During the livestream, Danielle also expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support. She revealed that she often reads their messages late at night and finds comfort in them.
Reflecting on her time with NewJeans, she spoke about performing on stage and recalled specific moments, including the silence just before the music begins—memories she said continue to give her strength.
Danielle refrained from discussing specific legal issues, noting that many matters are still unresolved. While she appeared visibly emotional at several points during the broadcast, the 20-year-old reassured fans that she has no regrets and does not see this moment as an ending.
For context, Danielle’s remarks came after Ador stated last month that it had determined it would be difficult to continue working with her amid an ongoing contract dispute involving the group.

The agency said that members Haerin, Hyein, and Hanni had agreed to return to the label, while discussions were still ongoing with Minji following a court ruling that required all five members to honour their exclusive contracts through 2029.
Ador later confirmed Danielle’s departure from NewJeans and subsequently filed a lawsuit against her, seeking 43.1 billion won (approximately $31 million) in penalties and damages.
