BLACKPINK receives a gold certification for the single 'Jump' in the US

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK continues to reach new heights with its achievements and global popularity. Recently, the group received a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for its 2025 digital single “Jump,” reinforcing its international success.

According to The Korean Times, the RIAA confirmed on its official website on Thursday (U.S. time) that “Jump” surpassed the 500,000-unit mark as of December 11, making it eligible for gold certification.

The RIAA awards gold certification for 500,000 units, platinum for 1 million units, multi-platinum for 2 million units, and diamond for 10 million units. These certified units are based on a mix of physical and digital album sales, downloads, and both audio and video streams.

Released in July last year, “Jump” has seen incredible streaming success, exceeding 470 million streams on Spotify. The track also performed well on the charts, staying on the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks straight.

Outside the United States, “Jump” has gained significant recognition in other major music markets. The song received platinum certification from Music Canada and France’s SNEP after surpassing 30 million streams in those areas. It also earned gold certifications in Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, and the Netherlands, further solidifying BLACKPINK’s dominance in North America and Europe.

The track expanded its global reach by becoming the fastest song by a K-pop girl group to exceed 300 million streams on Spotify, eventually reaching the 470 million mark. It also set a group record by staying on the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks while appearing on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts for 26 consecutive weeks.

Looking ahead, the K-pop group is getting ready for its next big release. BLACKPINK will release its third EP, Deadline, on February 27. This upcoming project will mark the group’s first full comeback in three years and five months, following the launch of their second studio album Born Pink in September 2022.
