On November 17, ADOR issued a statement, as reported by Soompi, explaining that they are closely monitoring domestic and international websites, music platforms, and social media channels.
After all five members of NewJeans officially ended their legal dispute with their agency ADOR, the company has now begun taking action against people posting malicious content about the group.
On November 17, ADOR issued a statement, as reported by Soompi, explaining that they are closely monitoring domestic and international websites, music platforms, and social media channels. They said they are filing prompt deletion requests and pursuing strict legal measures against harmful posts aimed at their artists. The same approach is applied to overseas websites without any exceptions.
Part of the statement read: “As malicious posts directed at the artist—such as fake news, invasions of privacy, abusive remarks, and derogatory language—have grown more severe, we have increased our monitoring team and carried out careful evidence collection. We plan to file criminal complaints this month against individuals responsible for posting these malicious comments on platforms including Naver News, DC Inside, Instiz, Nate Pann, MLB Park, theqoo, and others. More complaints will follow as we gather additional evidence.”
The agency added: “We are also continuing to respond firmly to deepfake crimes. Recently, some offenders tried to negotiate settlements, but we rejected all such requests and called for strict punishment. We are actively working with authorities to eliminate deepfake crimes targeting our artists.”
ADOR also noted that public interest and the reports they receive have been extremely helpful in guiding their legal actions. They encouraged anyone with information about rights violations to report it through the “HYBE Report Infringement of Artist Rights” website.
The agency thanked fans for their steady support and reassured them that they will keep working to fully protect the rights of NewJeans.
Following the lengthy conflict between NewJeans and ADOR, it was confirmed on November 12 that Haerin and Hyein will return to the agency. Minji, Hanni, and Danielle also announced their decision to return in a separate statement, and ADOR said they will hold individual discussions with the three members moving forward.
