After a strong opening earlier this week, Vijay Deverakonda's highly anticipated spy thriller Kingdom is still doing well at the box office.

As the action-packed movie, which was directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, moves into the pivotal weekend of its theatrical release, it seems to be holding its own.

Early estimates from a trade tracking website state that on Saturday, Kingdom made about Rs 8 crore net in all Indian languages.

In just three days, this raises the movie's estimated domestic box office receipts to Rs 33.50 crore. After earning Rs 18 crore on Thursday, the movie saw a decline to Rs 7.5 crore on Friday before slightly increasing on Saturday.

With theatre attendance steadily increasing throughout the day, the Telugu version of the movie also showed encouraging occupancy numbers on Saturday. Occupancy rates for morning shows were 31.25%, afternoon shows were 46.31%, evening shows were 47.06%, and night shows were 64.97%.

In Kingdom, Deverakonda plays the lead role of Soori, a police constable who goes undercover to complete a mission in the early 1990s. The plot centres on Soori's hunt for a strong smuggling gang in Sri Lanka, only to learn that the gang's elusive leader is none other than his long-lost brother Siva, who is portrayed by Satyadev. The film's emotional core is their tense sibling relationship, which intensifies the drama and tension.

Also starring Bhagyashri Borse, Ayyappa P Sharma, and others in pivotal roles, the film boasts a powerful score by Anirudh Ravichander, adding to its overall cinematic appeal.

With positive word-of-mouth and sustained weekend momentum, Kingdom is expected to continue its upward trend at the box office in the coming days.

A part of review from Moneycontrol read, "The first half is slow and uninteresting, despite Gowtam Tinnanuri's efforts to create a multi-layered, emotional story with a spy thriller setting. Despite an intriguing beginning set in the British era, the movie quickly settles into a languid, melancholy plot devoid of dramatic moments or emotional highs. Key scenes, such as their reunion in jail, feel hurried and emotionally flat, and the film's central brotherly bond—which is supposed to be its emotional core—is never fully explored."
