Kim Soo Hyun files complaint against Kim Sae Ron’s family over AI-generated audio scandal

South Korean superstar Kim Soo Hyun has officially filed a legal complaint against the family of the late actress Kim Sae Ron and social media personality Kim Se Ui. The actor’s legal team alleges that false accusations were made using a forged AI-generated audio clip, causing serious damage to his reputation and career.

According to a statement released by his legal representatives, Kim Se Ui and Kim Sae Ron’s family “went beyond merely spreading false information.” The team emphasized that a criminal complaint was even filed against Kim Soo Hyun, falsely accusing him of violating the Child Welfare Act. “This is a clear and serious case of false accusation,” the statement read, as reported by Koreaboo.

The controversy began two months ago when Kim Se Ui held a press conference and played an audio clip that allegedly captured Kim Soo Hyun admitting to dating Kim Sae Ron while she was still a minor. In the alleged recording, the voice claimed the relationship began when Sae Ron was in middle school. However, Kim’s legal team insists the recording is fabricated using artificial intelligence technology.
