Kate Middleton to meet Prince Harry only if King Charles gives the ‘Okay’

Once a royal highness of the British royal family, but now just a simple US resident, Prince Harry has been “hit hard” by the cancer diagnosis of his elder brother, Prince Williams’ wife, Kate Middleton (Princess of Wales).

Harry, 39, who’s returned to his native land sans his wife Meghan Markle by his side this week for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games has been barred from meeting Kate Middleton by his elder brother. The Prince of Wales has allegedly warned the Duke of Sussex to abstain from meeting Kate and their three children saying, “You’re not welcome”.

With Harry in London this week, it was expected that he would be able to meet his father King Charles III, but a spokesperson for the duke has confirmed that the King is preoccupied with various meetings and due to his “full programme” a meeting between the two doesn’t seem possible.

According to a royal insider, the heir to the throne, Prince Williams has not allowed to Harry to meet his family as he believes his visit could add to the future King’s worries. "They have so much to focus on, her treatment, the children, even the King’s health, so he’s not letting Kate expend any more energy on Harry.” The insider per the Mirror, relayed to an entertainment news source.

But according to new information from a royal expert author Ingrid Seward, the Princess of Wales will only see her brother-in-law Harry, only if she gets the ‘okay’ from King Charles III. “The king asks, she will do it, but Charles being the sensitive and understanding soul he is, would be unlikely to ask such a favour from his adored daughter-in-law,” the author told the Mirror.

“Harry would love to reconnect with Kate. They were once extremely close, and Harry was hit hard by the news of her cancer diagnosis, which he learnt about just the way the rest of us did, via Kate's shocking video,” Christopher Andersen, author of the “The King: The Life of Charles III,” told Fox News.

"Unfortunately, it doesn't appear [Prince] William is willing to let his brother anywhere near his ailing wife,” the author added.

Kate Middleton’s whereabouts since her disappearance from the public eye after Christmas the year before had led to concoctions of all kinds of bizarre conspiracy theories and baseless rumours. Kensington Palace finally rid those speculations by releasing a video message in March with Middleton claiming to be undergoing chemotherapy for cancer.

She also stated that the cancer was unidentified at the time of her abdominal surgery in January this year.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared their wishes in a statement to People magazine saying, "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”

Its only after the couple stepped down from their duties in 2020 that their relationship with the royal family took a hit. With Harry’s relationship with his bother also worsening after he revealed about a fight between them in his memoir and in an interview.
