Shefali Jariwala rose to fame with the iconic 2002 remix "Kaanta Laga." Reportedly she had a cardiac arrest and was hospitalised.
According to a report by Vickey Lalwani, Shefali Jariwala was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, where she was tragically declared dead on arrival.
Hospital sources confirmed that Shefali had already passed away before she reached the emergency room. She was accompanied by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and three others at the time.
A receptionist at the hospital stated, “She was already gone when they brought her here. Her husband and a few people were with her.”
When approached for further details, the Resident Medical Officer, a cardiologist at the hospital, declined to comment citing patient confidentiality, saying, “I cannot share any information.”
However, another doctor at the hospital, Dr. Sushant, later confirmed Shefali’s death and revealed that her body is being transferred to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem.
Transitioned into television and reality shows: Nach Baliye 5 & 7, Bigg Boss 13, web series (Baby Come Naa in 2018), and newest TV role in Shaitani Rasmein (2024).
She continued to model, post swimwear photos, and host events in 2025. She opened about her epilepsy history; she experienced her first seizure at age 15, managed it with a combination of medication and lifestyle changes, and has been seizure-free for years.
Her unexpected passing has shocked friends, family, and coworkers in the industry. Messages of sorrow and incredulity are already abundant on social media.
She is survived by her husband Parag Tyagi. The had tied the knot in 2015, previously married to Harmeet Singh (2004–2009).
