John Krasinski and Emily Blunt turned heads this weekend — not for a red carpet appearance or a film premiere, but for a wholesome family day out at the 2025 US Open in New York City.
The beloved couple were spotted enjoying the men’s singles final on Sunday, 7 September, alongside their daughters, Hazel, 11, and Violet, 9 — and the rare public sighting quickly became a fan favourite moment.
The family appeared content and at ease as they watched tennis players Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner compete on the court, with Alcaraz winning in the end.
Even though there was plenty of excitement during the game, it was Hazel and Violet who wowed the crowd when the stadium camera panned to the family. The girls were obviously enjoying the attention as they waved and smiled at the large screen.
The sisters were spotted eating pizza slices in between cheering, totally engrossed in the game.
Their attire gave the outing a charming touch: Hazel opted for a pink-and-white jersey and light wash jeans, while Violet wore a light pink dress with a soft blue cardigan. With Blunt wearing a breezy white button-down dress and Krasinski wearing a black polo and grey trousers, their parents kept things chic and understated.
Though they tend to keep their family life private, the US Open has become something of a tradition for the foursome — this marks their third year attending together.
In fact, Emily previously shared her decision to take a step back from acting in 2023 to spend more time with their daughters. “This year, I’m not working,” she said on the Table for Two podcast. “My oldest baby is nine, so we're in the last year of single digits.” Now back on set for The Devil Wears Prada 2, she still prioritises being home for those all-important bedtime chats: “The 10-minute chats where they tell you everything — you don't want to miss them.”

John, too, opened up about the emotional tug of balancing work and parenting. On the Pop Culture Moms podcast, he said: “There is no mom or dad guilt. It's us, you know, as a family, we're all in it together.” He added that showing their kids what passion looks like is part of the lesson: “If you love it, then you get to have experiences like Emily and I get to have.”
