Jennifer Lopez is reportedly feeling "very upset and disappointed" with her former partner and Hollywood star Ben Affleck, following their recent divorce.
The couple, who were married for two years, have officially parted ways after Jennifer filed for divorce on August 20. The news of their separation has come as a shock to many, as the two were once one of Hollywood's most talked-about couples.
According to sources, Jennifer is struggling to come to terms with the end of her marriage. A close source revealed to People magazine, "It’s really hit her hard. She’s very upset and disappointed with Ben." The source added that Lopez is finding it difficult to continue living in the Beverly Hills mansion they had purchased together last summer, describing it as "way too big for her and filled with too many memories."
The mansion was initially bought with the intention of blending their families, as Ben has three children from his previous marriage to actress Jennifer Garner, while Lopez has two children, Max and Emme, from her relationship with singer Marc Anthony.
The home was meant to be a space where they could all live together as a united family, making its current atmosphere all the more challenging for Lopez.
As Jennifer Lopez copes with the emotional fallout of the divorce, Affleck seems to be moving forward. He was recently spotted dining with his close friend and fellow actor Matt Damon in Los Angeles. Sources have reported that Affleck is "doing well" and has been "focused" on his work and personal life since the split.
The breakup has undoubtedly been difficult for both parties, but it appears that each is handling the situation in their own way.
While Affleck is leaning on his friends for support, Lopez is navigating the painful process of moving on from a relationship that once held so much promise.
