Japanese group XG unveils 2nd Mini Album, to release 1st pre-release track on this date

Building on this momentum, XG further announced the release of the first pre-release track, "SOMETHING AIN'T RIGHT," scheduled for Friday, July 26th. This single serves as a tantalizing first glimpse into the sonic direction of XG's highly-awaited second mini album.

Produced by XGALX's head honcho JAKOPS (SIMON JUNHO PARK), the track seamlessly merges a 90s-inspired uptempo beat with XG's signature originality.

The single's cover art further emphasizes the evolution of XG's style. A vibrant pop design brimming with individuality, it stands in stark contrast to the group's previous release, "WOKE UP." This shift signifies a fresh chapter for XG, one that celebrates the diverse talents of each member.

Their May 21st single, "WOKE UP," reached the coveted #1 spot on YouTube's trending chart in the US. Not only that, it dominated the "Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan" chart (for Japanese songs popular worldwide) for five straight weeks. This is a testament to their explosive international appeal.

On July 6th, XG marked their first appearance on the popular Japanese music program "THE MUSIC DAY." They set the stage on fire with electrifying performances of both "WOKE UP" and their 2023 hit, "SHOOTING STAR." "SHOOTING STAR," a fan favourite and former Spotify commercial theme song, made its long-awaited Japanese TV debut, causing a frenzy on social media. The buzz was so strong that XG's Wikipedia page skyrocketed to the top of domestic views that day, showcasing the immense interest they've generated in their home country.

XG is currently on their first-ever world tour "The first HOWL" and they will kick off their first international tour this Thursday, July 11, with an electrifying concert in Seoul for the much-excited ALPHAZ worldwide.
