Imtiaz Ali, Onir, Rima Das, and Kabir Khan's 'My Melbourne' wins Best Film at the 27th UK Asian Film Festival

The highly acclaimed anthology My Melbourne has added another feather to its crown, receiving two major awards at the Tongues on Fire, Flame Awards 2025: Best Film and a special festival award commemorating 'Longing and Belonging'.

The film, which was just released to enormous praise, continues to captivate fans and critics alike.

My Melbourne is a large cross-cultural anthology with four stories that each explore issues of identity and belonging.

The film is a remarkable collaboration between renowned Indian and new Australian filmmakers from marginalized backgrounds, presenting a unique cinematic discussion about multiculturalism and belonging.

In response to the award, Mitu Bhowmick Lange, director of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and producer of My Melbourne, stated, We are incredibly honoured and grateful for this recognition.
