The fashion world is abuzz with FDCI x India Couture Week 2024, which kicked off earlier this week. On Day 3, Malaika Arora dazzled everyone with her stunning fashion sense. In the post-show discussion, she praised designer Siddartha Tytler, admitting she felt like a "fierce goddess" while modeling his creation.
The outfit featured a glamorous black lehenga with a plunging blouse and a daring keyhole cutout, adorned with glittery gold designs on the skirt for added drama.
Rahul Khanna, who shared the stage with Malaika, also impressed with his debonair style, donning a navy sherwani embossed with gold embellishments and paired with fitted pants. These pieces were part of Tytler's "Caligula's Feast" collection, inspired by the Roman Emperor Caligula.
In the after-show discussion, Siddartha Tytler elaborated on how Malaika and Rahul were ideal choices to showcase his designs. He also mentioned that Malaika's blouse was finalized after selecting from a range of options. Watch the video below for all the details.
Malaika Arora shared how she felt like a “fierce goddess” while walking in Siddartha Tytler's creation. She said, “I think it was really stunning, very very sexy I have to say and I felt like a fierce goddess. Beautiful collection.”
When asked why Malaika Arora and Rahul Khanna were ideal muses for his collection, Siddartha Tytler said, “We always cater to the glamazon which is Malaika, and the perfect man which is Rahul. So to get both of them, it was a greedy attempt to have the best of both worlds and I hope it worked.”
Can you believe that five to six blouses were created for Malaika Arora once she confirmed her role as showstopper for Siddartha Tytler? The designer himself shared this detail. "We had the lehenga ready, but once Malaika confirmed her participation, we crafted about five to six blouses. We wanted to ensure we found the perfect one for her, and it all came together beautifully," he said.
Siddartha Tytler also commented on Rahul Khanna's innate fashion sense. When asked about styling Rahul for the runway, the designer said “Rahul being classic, we didn't even have to try, it was just done.”
