Fans are eagerly awaiting Hrithik Roshan and NTR's starrer action spy thriller, War 2. However, the latest reports have just doubled the excitement among the fans.
According to Hindustan Times, an industry insider has suggested that War 2 will hide two major secrets in its credits scene. The end credit will reportedly teases the next chapter of the YRF Spy Universe.
The source said, “The YRF Spy Universe is getting bigger and bigger with each film. War 2’s end-credit roll will reveal two huge plot points that will shape the next chapters of the spyverse. YRF is doing its best to keep these a secret from audiences and fans, but those in the know are telling us that these moments will blow people’s minds!”
The insider continued, “Not just War 2 but even its end credits are a must-watch! The YRF Spy Universe is known as the Marvel of India and it is being conjectured that these two Easter eggs will show us all what Aditya Chopra has in mind for the next slate of films.”
The source further noted, “Rumours are rife about whether new characters will be introduced, whether other Spyverse icons will return in the end credits of War 2, or whether a new film will be announced. YRF will make us wait for two more days before we know more.”
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra, the most-awaited YRF Spy Universe is backed by Aditya Chopra. Hrithik will reprise his role as Kabir in the super-spy thriller.
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari starrer YRF Spy Universe film Alpha was already announced and will hit the screens after War 2 on December 25, 2025. News also hints that Aditya Chopra is also working on Pathaan vs Tiger with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, who has directed Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra, the spy action thriller is the sixth movie under Aditya Chopra's YRF Spy Universe, after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3.
While the official plot details of the upcoming sequel are currently kept under wraps, the film is expected to revolve around Kabir Dhaliwal, a secret agent, who is accused of betraying his nation and his former batchmate shoulders the responsibility of finding him.
War 2 will release worldwide in theatres on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
