Hombale films celebrates historic wins at the 70th National Film Awards

Hombale Films celebrated a remarkable achievement at the 70th National Film Awards for 2022, solidifying its position in the Indian entertainment industry.

The team, including producer Vijay Kiragandur, directors Rishab Shetty and Prashanth Neel, and co-producer Chaluve Gowda, expressed their joy and gratitude for the accolades received.

This year’s National Film Awards saw Hombale Films making a significant impact with multiple wins. Rishab Shetty received the National Award for Best Actor for his role in Kantara, while the film itself clinched the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

Additionally, KGF: Chapter 2 was recognized for Best Action Direction and Best Kannada Film, highlighting the studio's versatility and commitment to quality cinema.

Prashanth Neel, the director of the KGF franchise, shared his reflections on their success: “Winning the National Award for KGF is a humbling experience. The journey has been exhilarating, and from the beginning, our goal was to create a film that audiences would love.

Thanks to the unwavering support from Yash, Hombale, and our entire team, KGF transcended barriers and achieved global recognition. This accomplishment motivates us to aim even higher for KGF 3.”

Rishab Shetty, who passionately directed and starred in Kantara, spoke about the personal significance of the film: “For me, Kantara has always been a labor of love. It reflects my roots and resonates with audiences on a deeper level. Winning this National Award reinforces our commitment to creating authentic content. The support we received proves that regional stories can connect universally. I’m grateful to Hombale for their belief in this unique project, which turned out to be the most expensive film I’ve made to date.”
