Post Malone gave fans in Guwahati an unforgettable moment during his live performance on December 8, not for his vocals, but for an unexpected slip that quickly turned into a viral sensation. The rapper-singer, currently on his India tour, lost his footing on a flight of stairs mid-show, sending social media into a frenzy.
The incident occurred while Post Malone was performing his hit track Sunflower. Barefoot and holding a red cup, he began descending the stairs leading down from the main stage. In a split second, he slipped and slid down several steps on his back, prompting security personnel to rush to his aid. Despite the abrupt fall, Post demonstrated why he remains a crowd favourite. He immediately popped back up, waved to the cheering audience, and casually took a sip from his cup.
Within minutes, the clip spread across social media platforms where fans expressed equal parts worry and admiration. One user wrote, “Noooo postie don’t break a leg,” while another quipped, “Posty just YEETED down those stairs in Guwahati but kept the vibes HIGH! Legend never stops." Several others added cautionary notes such as “Be careful posty."

The Grammy-nominated hitmaker set to perform in AssamFor longtime followers of the artist, the Guwahati fall evoked memories of another on-stage mishap earlier this year. During his Big Ass Stadium Tour stop at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, Post Malone had fallen off the stage mid-performance of Pour Me a Drink. He was leaning down to toast a fan with a pair of red Solo cups when a section of the stage unexpectedly gave way. In that instance too, he recovered quickly and continued performing.
Despite the tumble in Assam, Malone’s energy remained unaffected, and he completed his performance with his trademark enthusiasm.
