Steven Knight, the creator of the original series, will return to lead the sequel, bringing back the main Shelby family along with several other familiar characters.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the new series will pick up after the upcoming Peaky Blinders feature film, which is currently in post-production and is expected to release next year. The sequel will focus on a new generation of Shelbys navigating the criminal underworld of Birmingham.
The official logline for the series reads: “Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger, with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.”

The upcoming film features Cillian Murphy along with Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham, and Tim Roth, setting the stage for the sequel series that will continue the gripping saga of the Shelby family.
