Actor Tylor Chase, best remembered for playing Martin Qwerly on Nickelodeonβs Nedβs Declassified School Survival Guide, has found much needed support after a distressing video of him appearing homeless went viral on social media. The former child actor has since reunited with his co-stars Devon Werkheiser and Daniel Curtis Lee.
Tylor recently made headlines after being spotted in Riverside, Los Angeles, in a visibly distressed state. In the viral clip, he was seen wearing a worn-out polo shirt, holding up his jeans, and struggling to speak. When the person filming asked him about his time on Nickelodeon, Tylor confirmed his identity, replying, βYeah, on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.β
Following the video, concern mounted over Tylor Chaseβs well-being. According to reports cited by The US Sun, his mother revealed that the actor has been struggling with health-related issues for some time.
Daniel Curtis Lee, who played Simon βCookieβ Nelson on the popular Nickelodeon series, shared a reassuring update with fans. Lee posted a video showing Chase enjoying a meal at a restaurant, later confirming that he had been placed in a hotel to keep him safe from harsh weather conditions. In the clip, Chase can be seen sharing a warm moment with Lee, thanking him before pulling him into a hug and saying, βThank you so much.β

Lee also arranged a virtual reunion between Chase and Devon Werkheiser, who played the titular character Ned Bigby. Sharing the moment on social media, Lee wrote, βTylor Chase and Cookie reunite with Ned on FaceTime. Well fed and safe from the rain. Hotel secured! One step closer to long term treatment. PS: Tylor wants to livestream video games. Who can help?β
The update sparked an outpouring of emotional reactions online. Fans applauded the co-stars for stepping in. One user commented, βThatβs a good man right there.β Another added, βOne day heβs going to be on the podcast with you guys and look back on this and see how far heβs come and itβs going to be such a beautiful moment going to be a completely different person very soon (sic).β A third wrote, βThis is so heartbreaking and heartwarming,β while another supporter said, βWeβre gonna change his life, we love you Tyler!!! Youβve inspired many of people (sic)!β
Meanwhile, the individual who first shared the viral video also provided a follow-up update on Instagram after meeting Tylor Chase again. He wrote, βMet up with Tyler this morning. He seems to be well rested and in good spirits. The city of Riverside provided transportation and a facility that will help him. Unfortunately he wasn't quite ready to go this morning. The city now has Tyler's dad's phone number and are going to be on top of getting him help. He has a close 038 friend coming in today to speak with him as well. The process has been started.β

Earlier, a GoFundMe page had been created to assist Tylor, raising over $1200 before being taken down by his mother. Explaining her decision, she reportedly said, βTylor needs medical attention not money. But he refuses it.β She further added, βI appreciate your effort, but money would not be a benefit to him. I have gotten him several phones, but he loses them within a day or two. He can't manage money for his meds by himself.β
