Actor Johnny Depp’s latest look for his upcoming film Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol has left fans stunned, with many struggling to recognise him in his dramatically transformed appearance.

The film marks Johnny Depp’s first major Hollywood project following his highly publicised legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard. In the new adaptation, Depp is set to portray the iconic character of Ebenezer Scrooge.

According to PEOPLE, Depp was recently spotted on the sets of Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol in full costume and makeup. The publication reported that his look is a sharp departure from his usual personal style.

For the role, Depp has undergone extensive makeup and prosthetic work. He was seen wearing a large blue-and-black coat layered over pyjamas, while his long salt-and-pepper hair peeked out from beneath a nightcap, as seen in the viral images from the set.

As per photos shared by People, Depp was also filmed alongside his co-star Andrea Riseborough, who plays the Ghost of Christmas Past. Riseborough, 44, appeared covered in white makeup from head to toe, wearing white contact lenses and a long, flowing dress in the same ghostly hue, giving her an ethereal appearance.
